The following should only be considered a guide, and BC lift is not responsible for any decisions in cases regarding grants.
In Denmark, people with permanent physical or mental disabilities have access to assistive devices and consumer goods. This should be used to significantly improve their quality of life. At BC lift, we can help you navigate the system so you can get the support you are entitled to.
Right to support for lifting and moving equipment.
According to Section 112 of the Service Act, you are entitled to support from the municipality for assistive devices such as wheelchair lifts, chair lifts or vertical lifts if:
You are free to choose the supplier of your equipment. If you choose BC lift as your supplier, you can get the costs reimbursed up to what the municipality would pay for a similar solution. This is compared to what a similar solution would cost from another supplier who has an agreement with the individual municipality(s) – most often through the SKI agreement.
To receive support for an assistive device, you must generally submit your application digitally to the municipality. If this is not possible, the municipality must offer other ways to submit the application.
At BC lift, we are ready to advise you on your options, and together we can find the best solution that makes your everyday life easier and safer.
If you would like to know more about the options available within wheelchair lifts, chair lifts or vertical lifts, you are always welcome to contact us.
At BC lift, we are here to help you find the right equipment and ensure you get the support you are entitled to. Your right to assistive devices is an important part of the social safety net, and we are ready to help you find the best solution for your needs.
The municipality usually has four weeks to make a decision on support for an assistive device. If your functional capacity is only temporarily reduced, temporary support for necessary equipment can be provided.
